Don't want to tell us your short time and best speed? Still too depressed? Maybe your car is 'sick'. Throw it on a dyno. That's what I'd do. Or was it just the driver? What kind of burnout procedure were you using?

I didn't answer that because I didn't remember exactly and figured I'd look for the time slips. The last I saw them, I threw them on the hood of the car, and don't remember picking them up. So I don't recall. The 60 ft's were crap. 2.2XXX and the MPH was...Actually, I don't know. 103, 104 maybe?

As far as it being the driver and the burnout procedure...Let's just go with, I'm not a rookie at a drag strip. But thanks for your help. I know what the car needs.

Since you are not a novice and know what the car needs, it should be obvious to you the car isn't making the rwhp it should. Indicitave of your mph. So maybe something is wrong with the goat. If I trapped speeds that low, I would be on a dyno immediatly. The reason I asked you about your burnout procedure was you said it wouldn't hook up at all. I wasn't implying you were a 'bad' driver, I was trying to see what could be wrong or improved. You know, I might actually know something about this stuff, so I was trying to help. -But I can see you have it handled, and don't need any help.

I agree 100%. Already have the dyno scheduled for next week.

I understand where you were going with that, but I do believe the problem was the track and not necessarily the car. I walked out to the line when one of the other guys we were with ran and couldn't find a spot where my foot stuck anywhere. However, given the trap speed, especially since I was spinning the tires...I believe something is not right with the car.

I apologize for coming off like a dick. I didn't mean for it to sound like I'm the best driver in the world, and clearly you have more experience. Read up a few posts and you'll understand perhaps that wasn't necessarily directed at you.

Go get yourself a set of MT Drag Radials and you'll use the Nitto's for a paperweight.

True they are not the best in the rain, but they hook 100 times better than a Nitto. The BFG dr is a good compromise between the two, as far as tread wear and rain performance. If the Nitto works for, thats great but nearly everbody I know has gone faster when they switch to either the M/T or BFG.

Hard to say, I have not seen anybody on a Nitto around here in long time, except the import guys. They are a few bucks cheaper and do last a good bit longer than even a BFG, but for me if I get a summer out of a set of tires I am cool with it. FWIW the BFG's actually work better after they are worn down and bald, the sidewalls break down and act more like a slick, absorbing some of the shock to the tires.

Yea he took my wife down the track in it also, then she wanted a ride in my car but I did'nt think the track officals would go for that, plus we did'nt have an extra helmet.

My Nitto's still have decent tread and I've got 6k or so on them. The BFG's I had for a while were gone after around 3k miles.

I have heard the same about nittos. They don't compare to bfg or mt's but last 3+ times longer. I'm gonna get the nittos for everyday use, and some mt et streets to mount on my extra rims.

If you keep lighting those BFG's up like you just did outside the office. They won't last real long.

Sounds to me you need me to teach you how to drive that goat. What is the stock stall on the auto? Also did you stall it or flash it? I need full details to help you out.

No offence dude but it is not his driving, he knows how to drive and this is not his first time at the track, plus he let a guy who drives an NMRA heads up car make a pass and he was no better. He tried stalling it and going off idle, but the track condittions would not allow it. I suspect the torque management is to blame (you don't have it on your 05 as you have a 6 speed). Stock stall is around 1800 rpm and yes it needs more converter but that is not an option right now.
