taylorsmith32,
I'll start by asking if you currently own a 2005 Mustang GT?
The ultimate answer is "yes", you can. If you have the time and money to invest into your Mustang. I snapped a picture of one guys interpretation of Eleanor (http://www.brookshadow.net/thumbnails.php?album=6) from "Gone in 60 seconds". While impressive, there were some things I did not care for.
So when I ordered mine, my goal was to make it look like a 1967 Shelby GT 500. My first step will be to center the fog lights in the grille, a la 1967 Shelby. Street Scene is just about to release the part (http://www.streetsceneeq.com/) needed, instead of making one from scratch, as the guy did in the picture in the above link. Next will be a ducktail spoiler from CDC, and a chin spoiler from them as well. I don't think I will do stripes, but I could do white Shelby stripes. Wheels are my only issue so far. I like the one on Cervinis site, but they are some $3500!
I think once lowered, with all cosmetics applied, it will very closely resemble a 1967 Shelby GT 500. The goal is to look like one, and also be able to pull close to 1g on the skidpad and run 12's in the quarter mile. I do not think it is too unachievable.
Anyway, if I can help you out in any way, please don't hesitate to ask.
