anyone see them put a vortec 8 psi supercharger on their stang gt??? it was pretty f*ckin cool. watched it twice this weekend. but 202 hp for a modified stang (before the supercharger) is pretty weak. what did those come with stock?? and only 280 something for a supercharged stang is pretty weak too. i cant believe that guy was happy with it. they should do that to a 87-93 stang and see the differance!!

Thats why if you own and 96 to 98 GT.  You gotta do the PI Head Swap,  Before you do anything.  The stock heads are a total piece of s**t.  Even if you port them they still suck.  If you do the head swap, then the supercahrger.  You'll be hanging with the 03 Cobras.  But you'r motor lasting long is another story.

I saw it. If they would get a dyno tune they would get more power out of that S/C.

They were talking about an aftercooler....what for? They can't run any more boost on those stock heads and the aftercooler won't do anything for 8 psi unless they are running it WOT forever.Confused

no it would do something. regardless how much boost hes running, a cooler air charge will result in more hp

i am a ford die hard also. one of the guys is Chevy and one of them is Ford. when they worked on a Mopar they both complained. the Chevy guy actually said he was happy to work on the Ford over the Mopar.

Yeah the show is pretty good most of the time. About the jokes, I'm pretty sure they are intentionally lame. Still funny though. I really wish they would do a PI head swap on the black '96 GT though. IMO they should have done that before even messing with the blower. It costs a lot less, and they would have gotten so much better results from the blower, not to mention all the other mods. I can't wait to see that Nova run!!

yea, the nova will be sweet.

one thing that has always bothered me is their buildup on the civic. they call it "horsepower tv" and they have a little 4 banger in there. doesnt make any sence. but all in all it is a great show, but there could be some improvements.

I didn't see the supercharger install on the project stang but it was a 96 GT that they had been working on.  I saw the suspension/rims/exhaust mods that they did.  Also hooked up the Supertuner computer to it and pulled out a bunch more horses with the press of a button.  Can't complain,  its great watching them on Sat afternoon recovering from a big Friday night out.  In other words if I'm in too rough shape to work on my stang I may as well watch someone else work on theirs!
