Default 2001 Monte Carlo Vs. late model T/A (80's model)..

My buddy and I were heading into town in my sisters monte carlo (it gets better gas mileage than my 5.0 and we are embarrased to ride in his Storm lol) and we have a stretch of about 10-15 miles of just flat straight pavement with no houses around or nothin'. Well the speed limit is 55 and we're crusin' at about 70 and we come up on a latemodel Trans Am. We gun it around him and pass him and get in the other lane and he takes off also. It governs out at 110 but we stopped at 105 because he had walked us up to 100 mph lol. Just thought that I'd share of how slow the non SS monte is lol. If his car was completely stock, how would my 5.0 have done if I raced him in it?
