They'd never in the U.S. But there is a Focus RS overseas with rwd and a v8 I do believe. May even be AWD? Don't care to search for it but you sure as hell can
Why does europe have such a huge ass collection of pretty cool cars and north america gets nothing or watered down versions?
Though we do get extremely cheap prices compared to them, a c5 non zo6 vette is almost $90,000 new in England in US dollars!! A mustang is twice as much too.
There a conversion for RWD too? No sense in all that torque in a fwd car.
yeah, that's part of the conversion. I believe it's an 03 rear end with a custom drive shaft. There's a lot of work done to the underbody and firewall to fit the engine/drivetrain into the car.
I'd say so, would've been odd as **** seeing an 03/04 cobra engine cocked sideways in the enginebay and a tiny ass tranny sticking on the other end of it.
I knew 2000 was around somewhere, and when he finally shines around, shebang a bang!
There was an article in one of the car rags awhile ago sporting the V8 Focus Vrs. a Lambo. Of course the Lambo won, but the hocus Focus stuck right in there. And I don't think the Foci are ugly, they just are what they are. I have a 2005 4 door SES that I love. Great on gas, sits nice and high (for a sedan) but it is what it is. It's the replacement Escort. And it's a ton better than the Escort. I think Ford did a good job with the Focus.

Some company dropped a 351w in a little focus and rwd conversion. Thing was fuggin insanely fast. Get a couple of 200+ lbs guys in it and i bet it could hook up.

i think a company (can't remember the name) has been doing this since the 03 cobra came out... i saw an article on it mm&ff. it was at least a concept and i think it was called the Focus RS8. it was definitely rwd and had a price tag of 60K (if they would do it). definitely a sleeper... not for the money though
