here's your RS8 ...this is old news guys, but i guess if you aren't into the focus you wouldn't know about it. what's the point of the RS8 ? ...it's lighter, faster and more agile than a Cobra, as far as looks we could debate all night long about that, some people like em' some don't ...personally i think the focus is a great looking car.
I would love to buy a v8 focus over a mustang, finally ford makes a v8 car, if only it was in production for the US, that isnt hampered down by excessive weight.

I'd take that thing in a heartbeat. Of course I would get my license re-taken away and then I would just sell it and get something like a 600hp 03-04 cobra

wow, you guys dont know your ford history very well, do you?? carroll shelby started it all. he hit it right on. take a tiny friggin small car, and add a huge a$$ american iron motor. equates out to be a crazy car. the shelby cobra is what this RS8 is trying to be. and its cool. the last time ford did this, it was the 2000 R. a crazy car. and heres the true ford focus. yes, ford did do this. not just other companies. http://www.fordracing.com/vehicles/frs/

Why does europe have such a huge ass collection of pretty cool cars and north america gets nothing or watered down versions?
Though we do get extremely cheap prices compared to them, a c5 non zo6 vette is almost $90,000 new in England in US dollars!! A mustang is twice as much too.
however.. the cheapest mustang i could find after a quick search (2005gt) costs.. 39 200,29 USD

The Focus RS8 is a concept car only. The V8 Focus is a conversion kit some guys started building down in Florida (about $20000 + supply your own car or buy one used from them). The Focus RS is a FWD turbo 4-cylinder sold in europe. The only AWD Focus is the WRC Focus...a champion rally car driven by Mark Martin and ?? The SVT Focus has raised compression and a six speed manual gear box. All Focuses have a channel built into the undercarriage for an easy AWD conversion. Possibly, Ford wanted to compete with the Suburu WRX in the states, but nixed the idea...could still be on the drawing board? I own a 2000 Focus ZX3 with a 2.0L duel overhead cam engine based off the Cosworth design. Fun little car.
