06 S281E VS 07 GT500

Im in a bind. I wanted to do some poking around on the new cobra and specs. I noticed a lot of hype on it that is was going to be in the $30K range now seems to be up in the $40K range which is still a nice figure when compared to the Saleen E that is in the $50K range. I was very determined to go out and get the new S281E when its available but now with the talks of the new cobra im not so sure. the comparison...

S281E - 500HP costing around $53K
GT500 - 450HP costing around $42K

what do you all think about the 2 and comparison of them? I am kind of thinking the Saleen is going to come out with a high price for sale but packing a little bit more HP then the cobra?

there will always be lots of GTs and aftermarket mustangs on the road but there arnt a whole lot of saleens. when you buy a saleen, you not only get a great car, you get the name.

Dont count on being able to walk into a dealer and get a GT500. Actually forget about it. You needed to be on the waiting list. That pretty much leaves you the Saleen - or you could build up a stock GT.

WAIT A MINUTE

saleen E has got to be alot mroe than 50g
the saleen SC is 50 g
and thats 400hp

i just looked on some websites and they all say 70g for the extreme

s281 3v is 40g 325hp @ 340lb-ft
s281 SC is 50g at 400hp @ 420lb-ft
s281 E is 70g at 500hp @ 480lb-ft

i would get the SC and raise the power 50hp and beat the gt500
