You think your GT with $1200 in mods can beat my C6? LoL. Not a chance in hell.
Well, mine did go 13.0 and according to your "Facts" you posted then I would have beat you. To bad, so sad, go cry to dad. Tell him HIS Vette isnt fast enough and that you are getting picked on here on MustangForums.com.
When is this kid gonna get banned and all the whoring in this thread gonna stop?

My 01 S281 can beat your vette on the track or the street, straight lines or curvey, doesn't matter. -And I look better doing it, get more attention, and do it all for less $.
I don't agree w/ this vette guy or anything by any means but this post hasn't been a total waist, I mean I learned a lot about cobra times vs. vette times but if you took out like 10 pages worth of bullshi* you would be left w/ some decent info.....
Now the Cobra can be made alot quicker than the Vette with half the money, so in performance the Cobra has the upperhand.
However if you want to talk about looks that Vette will get more ass than a toilet seat. 99% of girls won't give a damn if your car has 390HP or 650 because most of them dont know the difference. It really all depends on what you what out of your car, and because they are two different types of cars its hard to compare them in the same ways.
Performance Cobra>Vette
Sex Appeal Vette>Cobra
I get 10 times as much ass in my Saleen as vette owners do.
Saleen, Roush, Cobra, Steeda, Gt with rims, Gt with tires, Ford>Corvette
**** i bought my car for 19k 6 weeks ago. I have put about 4 k into it, and by thursday i will be at 425+ at the wheels..ill race this C6 fag.
That brings my total to 23k, LESS than HALF of the vette, and i'll rape your ass till you bleed!
next year, when I have my bottom end done, ill be at least to 600 hp...that will be about another 5-7k. Still brings me to 28-30k...and ill own your ass till it bleeds even more!
Not to mention with the suspension on saleens, i will take you through the twisties already.
dont be upset, its okay that your car is slow. however, it's not ok that you're gay!
I noticed on the 1/4 times on this page you car ran 13.02 (modded of course)
"The 100% stock 2005 C6 Corvette ran the best time of a 13.073 @ 107.75 mph with plently of 13.1's to back it up. During the initial 1/4 mile baseline time trials I unfortunately didn't know to tap the traction control button twice to put the car into competition mode so I ended up having the car bog down after the launch each time. When I ran the 13.0 time I used the clutch to help keep the nose pointed upward without the bog from the traction control. " And that is 100% STOCK!! Source: http://www.carsatcarlisle.com/schedule/corvette/callaway_corvette_project/corvette_drags.asp
You are a moron. If you look closely, that was my 2002 GT! I ran like a 12.1 on street tires in my Cobra. LOL Too bad my $15,500 Mustang GT would have beat yur $60,000 Vette! LMAO!!!
Yea and I am 100% sure that GT was not stock either. Compare stock to stock. Like I said all along, a stock C6 will beat a stock Cobra 100% of the time. You people talk about how they can be modified for such a little cost. You don't think Vette owners can't modify as well? Hell for 6k I could throw a nice SC on it and be running 650 at the wheels.
Think again sport, do you know how much boost you would need running through an auto to get 650 on a stock motor? Alot, and thats assuming your high compressor LS2 holds up for the entire dyno run. Your 6K will turn into 16k after you have to go through the motor. You DADs car will lay down about 340-350 to the wheels, you won't gain 300rwhp just by adding a blower. Know proceed to tell me Im wrong so I can point and laugh.

Your engine can't take the boost like the cobra's engines can. Ford built a bullet proof engine just so they can run as mush boost as they want. Let's send ford a thank you letter. However, chevy did not. So your still pwned.

damn! this thread still on!! I thought I made my point in page number..........................................1........... This guy (bluevette) is still here? I thought he was in the ban-wagon.
Oh and another thing, Im sorry that you have to use dads Vette to get attention. Its called GAME little grasshopper, I tested positive for it back when I was six years old layin the mack down on all the little girls on the Big Toy at school. You use dads Vette as a crutch because you don't have the ability to spit game.

Reading is not a strong point for you is it? I said the 1200 plus cams and gears bringing the total to 2000. And yes it will beat your vette after i get the cams and gears.

It's a waste of my time to go race C6 auto's.
It's never a waste of time when you can see his face when you blow past him. Besides someone needs to shut him up. I'm still waiting to hear where he lives. I'll get a nice cobra for him to race since they're out of his class. We'll see what class he falls in when the race is over.

ORIGINAL: BlueVettec6 And by the time you spend all that money modding your Cobra you could have bought a base C6. And my dad did not buy the car for him, he bought it for me. So am I having a mid-life crisis? I guess anyone that has a car that costs 3x yours is having a mid-life crisis? In the end, I don't care about racing some rustang that pulls up next to me. I drive a car that I like b/c of style/preformance. I don't have to have the fastest car, but my car still looks alot better and gets way more compliments that yours! ... I never said anything about my car being better than anyone elses. Read the original post. It was ment to show the ego and inmaturity of a particualr Cobra driver.
Fact: Stock for stock, 2003, 2004 cobra coupe is faster than a 2005 C6 Automatic corvette Coupe, or a 2005 C6 Automatic Convertable. The slips from the carlisle site represent the manual version of one particular C6, not your dad's car. Reason: There is more drivetrain loss and weight in the automatic. Shift points are not optimized for drag racing but rather all around driving.
Fact: A mildly modded cobra will smoke even a mildly modified version of your dad's car. I'll laugh at you if you even try to refute this.
Fact: I get compliments all the time on my mustang and I can actually hold an informative and intellectual conversation about my car's performance because: I have raced it at the track. I have modded it to meet my performance goals.
Fact: Noone looks at a cobra and says, "Ohh, It's only an automatic? You should learn to drive stick."
Fact: My mustang gt is faster than your car.
Fact: Girls like/respect guys who bought their own car infinitely more than guys who take handouts from the 'rents you spoiled brat. You're gonna need the car to copensate for your rude, and ignorant attitude. You haven't even got a clue how much less mature you've proven yourself to be by coming on here and making any one of the idiotic statements you've made.
So basically, you bought the version of the C6 that is slower than a stock cobra. You talked trash, and got owned. Now you've got two choices. Either grow up and shut up unless you have something respectful and constructive to say, or go beg your dad to buy you an even faster car just so you can continue your pathetic rant. You're such a freakin stereotype or a rich brat it's not even funny. I pity you kid. You can call a mustang a rustang all you want but corvettes (especially corvettes) carry their own sleeze/small wang connotations. You can go have fun with that while I cruise around with the top down and three beautiful, intelligent, cool girls in my car laughing at kids like you who are trying too hard.

Dood...honestly, I'm not taking up for this guy, but you're dead wrong on both "facts."
Pulley/tune/tires = $1k roughly, if you can find a dyno tune for dirt cheap. That should put a Cobra in the high 11's with an excellent driver. Most still go bottom 12's.
Nitrous/tire = $1k roughly, if you buy all the goodies for your nitrous setup. That should put an auto C6 mid 11's. Won't need a good driver, it's an auto. Throw a stall in the equation for another $500, and you're going 10's. Guys are spraying these things BONE STOCK and trapping 125+mph.
Most guys go to an auto to run QUICKER ET's, not slower.

You are actually right and anyone who argues is either being biased or they are stupid. However this kid with his dads Vette is annoying me so I can't let him go without f**king with him.

We're talking about the completely stock auto shifting at the stock shift points vs. a manual. Not something with a big shift lever that you pull back each gear or a specially built auto just for 1/4 mile runs.
After you do the $75.00 pulley, $15 belt, you can just as easily spray the cobra can't you? The pulley is dirt cheap and gives you a better starting point (like an extra 60+ rwhp). Superchargers do great with spray, especially when injected before the supercharger so it can get compressed. You can pretty much get away with a mail ordered generic tune for spray and pulley and run pretty big shot on the stock forged bottom end of the cobra without really worrying breaking anything.

Its ironic you said that A guy around here did the same thing with a 75 shot, and on the first track pass his motor went BOOM. Usually though those Cobra motors are very stout, but mothimg is truely bullit proof.
