all that goes into...

...driveline loss from heat?
from heat? well...maybe. a lot of driveline loss is also due to turning the driveshaft, rear end, and all the weight of the rotors, rims, and tires. Then you have the transfer case, second driveline, front end, shafts, rotors, rims and tires for driving the front wheels.
thats why you lose 40% in AWD applications...I've seen stock WRXs (227 fwhp) only crank out between 137-165 to the wheels. That sucks, but the traction from having all four wheels putting power down makes it quick as hell.
eh whatever, i just knew there was a buncha driveline loss, i dont know what it turns into...i would assume heat from friction or whatever, who cares anyway?
hahahahahaha no.....me running 6-8 psi = 11 sec runs on a stock motor. But hey, lemme guess, that's not fair b/c I have a bigger engine?
yeah thats right ... its not fair. i have always wonder why the japanese rather have 4 and 6 cylinder engines with a turbo instead of building big engines like v8s. hummm .... wonder what it would be like if honda would put a v8 in their s2000. oh well guess thats why there's american muscle.
I don't think that a v8 would fit, ever looked under the hood of a new car with a big engine? There is no room for anything....unless you have a BIG hammer.

hmmm i wonder what it would be like if a honda motor could have 800hp with only 22 psi?

yeah i know it wouldn't fit in their cars. isn't the nsx running around with a 6 in it. but i was just stating that in general its seems that americans and europeans like large displacement motors. the asian market seems to be more 4 and 6 cylinders and if more power is needed they build the motor to withstand force induction. i think it would be nice if some of the asian sport cars had 8s in them, seeing how they can make pretty impressive power from such their 4 and 6 cylinder motors.

think about the b16 motor by honda. 1.6 liters and produces 160 horses n/a. 100 horses per liter. that formula would be impressive if honda would build a 8, maybe a 4.6 with 460 horses or even a 5.7 with 570 horses from the factory would be nice. CaTiRo37992.8738888889

haha yea because 8psi will take 2 seconds of your et

hp/liter is not the way things should be looked at, it should be hp/pound, that's how small 4 banger cars outrun large cars with much more hp
hp/liter is something that most ricers brag about95LT137992.8833796296

true ... back to the topic. i would pick the supra. the engine is really strong and power seems easier to come by on factory turbo vehicles as oppose to na cars.

Well what do you think 570 hp in even a 3500 lb car would do? it'd spank pretty much everything out there.
Other companies like Subaru and Mitsu build small motors with turbos because they're tuning for a bit of gas mileage accompanied by speed.
Lets see, I need a grocery getter with good mileage and still fast as hell. I can pick the Mustang GT making 14s, with very little seating, and a small trunk meanwhile getting 17 mpg city, or I could pick a WRX with a 14 second quarter, four doors and a worthwhile trunk in a car STILL getting 20 plus mpg city. Oh and add the bonus of traction on rain, ice and snow ontop of the four doors and 14 second quarter...oh yeah...I'd much rather have a WRX.
How are these lil cars olding up with all this boost they're running? Like how many miles before you can expect major problems?
BTW, they have 500hp and 600hp cars from the factory that are Domestic....Lingerfelt Vette, Callaway Vette, Viper, several of them. If more v8's came forced induced then there would be tons of them in the 500 range.

great you comparing a $30k WRX to $100+K cars. And when you say only 300hp at 17psi its because the turbo doesnt have a high cfm

haha yeah brand new WRX 24k. brand new Z06 54k Lingenfelter package...80k? lol
I dunno how well the WRX holds up. Ask someone who owns one. I do know they're known for their glass trannies which is why I'd swap in an STi 6 sp anyway.
What???? I'm not comparing them, "If Honda made engines with 100hp/liter....." I said that there are domestics that come with that much HP/liter. Use an economy car for what its made for, if you want something that'll run 6's in the 1/4, get some cubes.....
Every ricer I talk to says this crap, well your engines bigger, your car cost more, I have more hp/liter.....I tell them all to just wait til I get my wing, then we'll seeAdmin38028.6291203704
