The Mustang was designed with family in mind....
Well there you go ownedby3 thats 3 people already. You see first i never said its was a good famiy car i said it was the best in the category, again i ask you to read with your head out of your ass that'll be pretty smart. You really have no point and if your trying to prove one, well, your doing a bad job, nice try though!
Nevermind. You simply do not get what I'm saying. 3 people say it was "designed with the family in mind" yet a Windstar minivan was designed specifically for a family. It's meant to haul the family. Just because you can in a Mustang doesn't mean it's going to be comfortable and practical. Let it go already.

Again, nevermind. You're telling me it's designed with the family in mind yet it's not supposed to be comfortable for the family it was apparently designed to haul. um yeah....Admin38028.6230555556

it's designed to compromise speed with some degree of utility/family carriage.  if it wasnt then it would be a 2 seater like all the concepts they put out are.
from heat? well...maybe. a lot of driveline loss is also due to turning the driveshaft, rear end, and all the weight of the rotors, rims, and tires. Then you have the transfer case, second driveline, front end, shafts, rotors, rims and tires for driving the front wheels.

thats why you lose 40% in AWD applications...I've seen stock WRXs (227 fwhp) only crank out between 137-165 to the wheels. That sucks, but the traction from having all four wheels putting power down makes it quick as hell.

i am partial, but the mustang takes very few mods, namely struts, springs, c&c plates and some fat tires to get into serious stance.. my pops ws-6 is fast, very fast, but with my medium modded 98 i ran all over him.... now before it gets started,  my 98 gt cost me 24500 complete(after i modded it up) his ws-6 bad boy(and yes its bad) cost around 28500 with the slp exhaust.  f- bodies are your closest comp. but they cost a little more..

the ws6 is an appeareance package. If he got a bone stock 02 Z28 M6 it would have cost him around 22500 base and it wouldn't have had so much weight on it from the appearance package. A 5.7L V8 with a Tremec 6 sp manual backing 310 hp & 325 ft lbs torque is a lot for that base price. Now you all know why I'd pick a Z over a GT with it's 260 hp & 302 ft lbs torque and 5 speed manual...

it's a performance package......ram air and beefed up suspension

EDIT: to clear up any confusion before it starts, the hood looks more "pimp" b/c of the ram air package 95LT137992.5151388889

It's mostly an appearance package that makes the car look meaner and nicer... Yes the ram air works because it's the upped model of the TA, same intake/scoop as the SS just has a different  hood. The WS6 is the same thing as the SS, but the WS6 was called an "Appearance Package" by Pontiac for the most part. The TA was the sport luxury coupe of the Fbody twins. It's there for comfort, power and style while the SS was built for speed alone.
