This is great info just bought the 07 mustang pony package and lokoing to fix it up for car shows and was curious about this for the engine, what are your thoughts
Put the package in; coil failed at 900 miles, 800 away from home. The module failed totally at 13 months (of course) No response from Jacobs to emails (of course) While in the car and hooked up, mileage went from 24.5mpg to a bare 23mpg Freeway mpg. MPG monitored on trips to mn and va from ca, so not a short comparison.
i call the biggest BS on you joseshdunagan .... every fukin forum i go to when ppl will make a thread about the **** products guys like you make one of your companies employees will join and defend your crap.. honestly there are no magic fukin fixes to gettin gud mpg.. lol one time this guy came and says his dad owned "several shops across" the US and tested them on douzines of vehicles and worked.. but guess what.. when asked for the names and locations of these shops the guy split... which i bet is exactly what you will do as well i bet
i think the tornados do work i have a 4.6 in a lincoln town car and was getting about 13 mpg, and everything is electronic on my car so it tells me everything including mpg, and now i get around 15 mpg and acceleration is slightly better also
Bottom line folks. If teams of very talented engineers from any of the automobile manufactures could squeeze just one more MPG out of their existing product they would (key word is existing). Good CAFE numbers can save them millions. If any of the crap the after market sells really had merrit it would be under your hood already. Redesigning an engine is an expensive undertaking. Fans, magnets or any of the other 'wounder products' during a large production run would cost the factories less than a penny per unit, especially if any of them actually worked. Putting out the flame before it's typed, the quality low restriction air filters, intake systems and exhausts available in the aftermarket that improve performance and economy (yes they do work) probably fail a noise requirement the manufactures are bound to. Thanks to SEMA the Feds seem to be cutting us a little break in this area. Most of these product are still available without the dreaded disclaimer "for off road use only". RB
Don't forget the factories have to make sure their cars will pass emissions for a very long period of time. This also will have a detrimental affect on short term economy.

One of the biggest theives of HP and MPGs is carbon build up in the intake and heads, along with sludge in the block. A simple way to clean out some of the carbon is to take denatured alchahol in a spray bottle (available at hardware stores and the hair aisle respectively). Pt the alchahol in the bottle and spray it through your throttle body/carb while the engine is idling, until the bottle is empty. Next, if you have an older engine (or alot of miles) get 1 gallon of deisel fuel and 1 quart of auto tranny fluid and an extra oil filter. When you do your next oil change drain the oil as usual and take off the old filter, next pt on the extra filter on and put the drain plug back in. Now pour the deisel and auto tranny fluid in and turn the car over and allow to idle for about 30 minutes *DO NOT REV THE MOTOR, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED* After the 30 minutes is up, drain the sludge and remove the filter and dispose of properly (most auto shops dispose of your old oil for free). Now put on the second filter and put in the correct ammount of oil. Again allow the motor to idle for another 30 minutes and enjoy.
i got the best results buy going from 87 to 93 octane. some people say im full of bs and i will agree it won't work on all cars but my got got a fairly good increas 270 miles per tank on 87 to 300 on 93. i tried som 104+ aviation fuel with no real gain i got 305 on that tank not really worth the extra cash or the hassle of goin to the airport to fillup. btw i did a little math it is cheaper to run 93 when regular hits $2.00 per gallon. like i said i know it won't work on a lot of cars but it did mine.
it all depends bro if u have fule injection or not on allot of older cars it doesnt matter it works the same way. Its kinda like someone beliveing that shell gas is the cleanish gas around and thats why they can charge you 20 cents more then fule saver next store .

I bought the professional products typhoon intake. And the only thing i can say good about it is that the fitment was good. besides that is sucked. felt no improvement in power considering the pwer gain they said i would get And when the engine was at full running temp the intake was so hot you couldn't touch it increasing air intake temps higher then the stocker. About two days after i installed it I installed the stocker back on and go rid of it.
I found that people that instal or add something to improve MPGs, try to get better results by not pushing the fuel peddle down as hard, so the car gets better milege and the think its the POS-waste-of-money item that they put on the car... and its really that they are not driving like that were,,, I just bought a new 07 GT and I have used 3/4 of a tank of fuel in the first 85 miles.. LOL thats because I am going crazy with the power, WOO HOO!!!!!
New performance ignition wire will always show increased mileage over used/old wires. But, it isn't really the brand of the wire, it's simply a benefit of routine maintenance.
