Im a street racer and one of my buddies said his friend wouldnt even bother with my '95 stang cause his is DOHC. Ive never heard of a DOHC mustang before... wats going on can this be true? Which mustangs are DOHC?

4.6 cobras in 1996 and up are DOHC. 4.6 gt's are SOHC

2003 - 2004 Mach1s are also have DOHC 4.6Ls.

ANY Mustang could be a DOHC, provided the owner had it installed. The only ones that came from the factory are the 96+ Cobra, Cobra R, and Mach 1.

It's not quite that simple. Pretty much everything from the block up would have to go, heads, exhaust manifolds, intake, ECU. It'd be easier to just swap in a complete 4V motor, exhaust, and computer.

If his is a 95 model (unless he did a swap) it is also going to be a 5.0L and not a 4.6L. They were dogs stock but chances are someone has done a swap since 10 years of thrashing on the stock 5.0.

Its not just one other cam think about it this way 5.0 1 Cam,,,4.6 2 Cams,,,4.6 Cobra 4 Cams, not that i think it would clear alot up considering your limited info up till now, just keep reading youll learn

+1, Building up a 5.0 is a walk in the park, building up a N/A Mod motor, much more complex!
