Whats up my name is Michael and I finally got my loan so i could drop a 5.0 in my 4 banger. Shes a 1991 Emerald green coupe. i've done just about every cheap mod I could to get alittle more power out of my 2.3l but it will be leaving soon. My cousin owned a Mustang salvage / performance buiness in Kodak , TN and I bought the car from him in good condition for $900 . Had only 60K miles on it which wasn't bad since I bought it a few years back. Now It has real close to 100K . Runs smooth as silk , but also runs slow as.....well you know. I bought it with the intention of dropping in a 5.0 from one of his other wrecked stangs eventually but he sold his buisness. Well luckily I got my loan after all this time and found another guy in Kodak that has a Mustang salvage & performance shop and i bought me a 1988 Cougar. has a 5.0 , AOD , and a 4 lug 8.8 rear end. Perfect since I can't drive a stick and I already have some nice 4 lug Chrom outlaw wheels on my stang. So i can keep them and not have to get 5 lugs

Well anyways just thought I'de say hi. I need alot of help since I don't really know much about engines . But i love my mustang . I have always loved the way the Coupes look since I was little and i always hoped I could get one. Mine is slow but the interior and body is in terrific condition since it was a 4 banger and the lady who owned it before must have took good care of it. Anyways if anyone knows anything about the 5.0 engine that came in 1988 Cougars will you e-mail me because I have soooo many questions. I hear they are the same as the 5.0 engines in the stangs but i have heard they are different from people to. i need to know for sure before I drop it in and start modding it. Well anyways hello everyone. Hopefully I can learn alot from you experts if you'l be willing to share what you know better than the last few mustang forums I've joined
