Im wondering whats the difference between all these motor mounts (energy conservation, solid, etc.) and what theyre used for. Im also wondering if you have to pull the engine to install them. any help much appreciated. thanks

Default RE: motor mounts

In Neon world, they'd change them to solid mount to get rid of engine twisting when you hit the gas, which improves responsiveness, reduces time between when you hit the gas and when torque is delivered to tires.

I never researched this and I would love to hear from professionals on this subject. Also, I would love to see some links to different motor mounts.

What is Neon world?

Don't you usually put solid mounts in racing applications because you don't care what vibrations the engine sends through the car at the track. Thats why they make the rubber mounts to dampen the vibration from the engine

Are the vibrations quick lannoying vibrations like a loose bolt or are they like the 1970's muscle car vibration? because im looking for a way to get that muscle car rumble. still looking for installation info too.
