Default Mass Air Flow sensor

Hello, I have an 02 GT so my mass air flow sensor has 6 wires instead of 4. does anyone know what the extra two are for, and what the original 4 measure? any help is much appreciated.

At some point the IAT sensor was integrated into the MAF housing. Maybe that's it.

Yea that should be it.

What I don't get is why ford is using MAF on 4.6. You can get occurate measure using manifold vacuum, vacuum is a hell of lot easier to tune, a better way to measure necessary fuel and spark, and IMO it's more sensitive than MAF.
