Hi, it`s been about 1\2 a year since my last post in this forum, and then it was under the name of "Catch 22" During my months of absence, another member has taken the name Catch22 so from now I`m 66 Hardtop 5.0
Anyway, I`m 28 yr old male from Oslo, Norway. I bought my 66HT in `97 as an import from California
Doortag:
Classic Mustang Decoder Results
Warranty Number: 6R07C208714 Body: 65A 2 Door Hardtop, Standard Interior
Year: 6 1966 Color: Y Silver Blue Metallic
Plant: R San Jose, CA Trim: 22 Lt. Blue Crinkle Vinyl and Blue Rosette Vinyl,
Body Series: 07 2 Door Hardtop Standard Interior

Unit: 208714 208714 D.S.O: 71 Los Angeles

Trans: 6 C4 Automatic

Since `97 I`ve given the car a thorough restoration:
Interior: Changed to black standard trim. Hurst 4-speed shifter. Autometer tach. Kenwood headunit.
Exterior: New paint is British Racing Green Metallic. Grille painted black. H4 headlights. Magnum 500 with 15x8 with BFGoodrich Comp TA 235x15
Chassi/Suspension: KYB selfadjustible gas shocks front and rear. 620 1 inch drop springs which is cut 1/3 round. Stock rear springs. 1 piece export brace. (Monte Carlo bar and larger sway bar not installed yet). Stock drum brakes
Motor: This spring I decided to replace my 289 with a brand new 345bhp Ford Racing 5.0 crate engine with-
Edelbrock RPM Airgap intake, Holley 650 with man. sec. MSD distributor + coil. Flow Kooler highvolume waterpump. Holley mech. fuel pump. K&N oil-and airfilter. Hedman longtube headers, custom 2,5in exhaust, Hooker Aero Chamber mufflers.
Drivetrain: Along with the engine swap, I also decided to put in a 4spd Toploader with a Hurst shifter. Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch. Stock driveshaft, stock 8in rear with "highway-friendly" 2,80:1 gears.
Plans for next winter is DEFINITELY disc brakes!!! + 3,50 gears and a differential lock.
(Not sure if the picture upload works) Pictures taken before the drop in front

Welcome back to the forum after a long vacation. It sounds like you have a plan that is working out great for you. I was in Oslo a few years back. I don't remember much about it but the Mead beer and the Viking ship museum.

Not the worst to remember, the beer is good and the museum is a nice place

Thanks.

If the shipping didn`t cost an arm and a leg it would be a nice way to spend the vacation though

Get your pics in the gallery at the top so we can include yours in next months classic mustang of the month contest.
I also went fishing in one of the fjiords out of Oslo. Didn't catch much, but drank a lot of great beer.
