lol you guys give the sti no credit at all, if he spent a little $$, im sure he could give that cobra a run for his money, especially from a stop. and about the 470rwhp, im not sure if i beleive it. i would think traction would be some what a slight prob... i didnt here the tires spin once. ive seen cobras with with kenne bells on them at the track, with stock rims and street slicks, they spin all day long.
you are kidding right??  Did you see how hard he pulled on him at all speeds except for 0?? lol...  And sure it could probably spin, thats why you feather the pedal, and not stomp on it suddenly...  As hard as he was pulling, he could spin them if he wanted to act silly and possibly lose or wreck!

are you kidding?if he has 470rwhp and his tires dont spin at 20 mph punch there is a problem or from 2nd to third ger you dont hear some scratch. that sti with a new turbo on race gas would give that cobra a run for its money from a stop

A new turbo on race gas??? Anything else in your fantasy world you want to add to the car???lol..  He could light them up if he wanted to show off.  He was racing, you don't punch it to the floor at those speeds with lots of power on street tires.

but how?  i'd say the same to you...sitting there jacking off to [car] magazines and websites and horsepower ratings while you have a civic, yet you sit there bitching about acquirable cars like mustangs. Jugador37986.6209953704

damn this mustang forum totally sucks...all people seem to do is fight and disbelieve each other. why dont you guys just get along, and when someone disagrees with you, not get all bitchy about it. the whole point of a forum is to see what other people have to say. not only what you wanna say.

lmao ok newb. ive owned a 450 rwhp cobra before unlike yourself. that car would probably run high to mid 11s. An awd sti or evo on 25 psi on a 50 trim would beat that all day. go back to your trailor. have you heard of drag radials? you can still get decent catch with street tires. you dont feather the gas pedal.

yeah... my friend has a 2nd gen tsi, with 20 psi, and no motor work. obviously its a waste of my time racing him from a stop, but from a roll, im not that much faster than he is.

I agree with you, but Thats the problem man...no one here wants to learn anything about Hondas or Chevy's, etc. All some people care about are the cars they have. Which is fine, but if you don't know who you're racing, then how do you know you'll beat him?

yea those awd off the line are crazy because the get to have the 5500 rpm launch. what type of supercharger are you running? Running 8lbs of boost and getting 450whp is pretty sweet. i take it you have a 4.6?

I had a vortech s trim on my 97 as well. your friend must have a pretty big turbo on his tsi to keep up because a supercharged 4.6 doesnt play.
