i was wondering... from what cars can i look to for a used supercharger or turbo take off. im hunting on ebay, but thats just for ideas, the ones im seeing thus far are mostly t-bird takeoffs for around $300. is this a good price, or even a good idea?

ohh...to elaborate on that...any turbo you can find as you have enough exhaust to push it reasonably. it will all be custom fab, supercharger or turbo, so you might as well go out with a bang with a big ass turbo.

how does a turbo compare to a supercharger? and how much of an ungodly amount of work would i need to do beforehand to prep the engine? im guessing an exhaust and intercooler to get started... but in definately not sure about that. in addition to the price of the actual turbo, im assuming a whole lot of money for install and piping.

if you assume that then you'd probably be taking it somewhere, making all of that true. if you did it yourself most of the work would be redoing the exhaust manifold/header. the piping from the turbo to intercooler to intake isnt really that hard...just do the elbows with radiator hose
