Where is password stored as cookie?

This is really probably and Internet Explorer question, but I thought I'd ask.
Where is your password stored on your computer (using XP and IE)?
Starting tonight, when I visit this forum and several others, I am no longer automatically logged in.
I think the login name and password is stored in some 'cookie-file'.
Apparently, this file must be corrupt or missing.
I did not Delete Cookies anywhere nor did anyone else on my PC>

Any ideas what's up?

Its in your cookies, Goodluck finding it, its a mess in that folder.

Read some stuff on the internet about cookies and have concluded I might as well forget finding it and fixing it.
Just login again and it will remember it again.

You should record your passwords to any website you go to that requires a login, then delete all your cookies.

dude i know where you cookie is, in the cookie jar. hahaha. you should always delete you cookies, its not good to keep them on your computer it slows it down.
