Is it possible to just put a aftermarket head unit into the mach 460 system and not have to completely rewire the car.... also wut is the easiest way to remove the stock unit?

Some say yes, some say no. If you contact Crutchfield they say that it is possible, they have an adapter that they include with any headunit purchase that you make. To take the head unit out, it is just like any other. You either need to get ahold of some ford keys to remove the unit or you can use clothes hangers. Basically the was it works is the head unit slides into a bracket and clips in. by using the hanger you are pushing the clips out and are unlatching the head unit, allowing it to slide out again.

I've had two different types of adapters. Well let me say that they both didn't work on my car. So they just had to rewire the whole thing to bypass the amps.
There are soo many posts about this, I dont understand what the problem is, I bought my JVC deck and 2 wiring harnesses, one for the data cable, which has all of your speaker cables, and one for the power cable, and the just plugged right in and it works just fine. no problems at all, you just have to remeber to hook up the remote turn on for your built in amps.
