Hey, Im very new here & I just picked up a 1993 SVT Cobra in 100% original condition in CHERRY condition. Black on Black. Its a real beauty & I feel like I stole it from the ORIGINL OWNER. Its a definate rare find & I absolutely love it. I cant wait to get started on mods,..

I want to start with full exhaust,- headers, x pipe & cat back. #1- Which type of headers & x pipes are the best for this car? Im looking for power mostly & performance. The cat back system, I have my mind made up with 40 series flows. I just love the sound of them. The headers & x pipe Im looking for power more than sound. I get so many mixed reviews. I was gonn go with MAC but Im hearing from some people they are junk?? Is this true?? What do u guys suggest??

Also gears,..3.73 or 3.55?? I get mixed reviews there as well. Its a street car so 3.55's I hear are better for street & I would lose some top end with 3.73's? is this correct?

Since teh Cobra comes with the better mass air meters, better throttle body, better heads & intake than the stock 5.0 I dont really have to do much to the engine. Im not lookin to juice it or charge it or anything. I want to keep it as stock as I can with some easy bolt ons & try to get to 300-350 HP with some nice torque. Thats plenty enuff for me. I just want to get to get mid or lower 13's

Any help,...???

Much appreciated,..

My sister's boyfriend has a 93' cobra black on gray...... Id say the best mods to start with would be full exhaust... i'd say go with long tube headers, catless h-pipe, and a magnaflow cat back, a cold air will help also....and 3.73's are a must

Hey I got a 93 Cobra. I have the catless H-Pipe with flowmaster mufflers. I think it sounds great, but that is my opinion, and i do own the car. . Anyway, I also have 3.73 gears and they are great. I say go with the 3.73s. And they say the SVT forum is dead. I never see anything about the 93 cobras.
