whats the advangate of the 1 5/8 headers</P>

as apposed to the 1 3/4 headers</P>


right now my cars pretty much stock but by summer i putting a 350 crate in it</P>


any suggestions?</P>

Not really that much of a difference, although the 1 5/8 will be easier to get screws in and out and to get plugs in and out. </P>


The real difference lies in the coating, and equal/unequal or Long tube applications. For shorties - unequal jet hot coated is the best, but also hardest to get in. LTs give better overall performance - and ceramic coating from jet hot is a must in all header applications - or else some heat wrap.</P>

Default which size headers

im pretty sure it is in diameter, so the smaller the diameter the more backpressure there will be. with a stock engine stay with 1 5/8. you will need new headers for a 350 since it is a completely different engine.
