I don't know if this will help. It's an email I recived from SCT:
Saleen does not change the pcm unless it is supercharged. These new vehicles do not take a chip, the pcm has to be reprogrammed. The Xcal2 will do this and overwrite whatever is in the pcm. It is also saved to be returned to stock at a later date if you wish.
Thanks,
Mike

David_K,
By "DIY" I mean that I'm a complete newbie and was wondering if you had any tips on where to start, where's the computer found, how do you take it out, is there anything I need to be extra careful about, or should I leave it up to a professional. I see that you had someone tuning it for you - where would I find a person like that?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
