matthockey, what mods have you done to your car? i have a 99 v6 5spd and i am trying to decide if i wanna put a v8 in or mod the v6. i dont know what is out there for a v6 performance wise and i want the sound of a v8. i want my car to be LOUD. that one guy was an ass, just cuz u dont want your car to be loud doesnt make you gay. i also didnt know that the sound of your car makes it any faster. i dunno, maybe im gay too. id say gears are a good choice as well as cams. or u could stroke it. "theres no replacement for displacement" all the ideas i have seen posted are good ones. really theres not a right or wrong choice as long as u are happy with it. its your car nobody else's

i have an older mod list posted on page 2 of 1000 hp essex in the v6 forum
i have a 2002 mustang GT 5 speed, i will soon be posting pictures of it, i already have the SLP cat back exhaust, i had a bbk x pipe on it for a little bit but took it off because without the cats it was too annoying loud. I also have a cold air intake with a 75 shot if nitrous. These are all the engine work i have done to it so far, but what i really want is speed. i have over $1000 to spend right now to make my car closer to what i want it to be. Any suggestions on wehat i shouls do?? What aboutone of thos hypertech computer tuners, has anyone ever used one?
My friend take that $1000 and save it....Get your self and extra 500 and go to www.steeda.com and get the stage 3 kit....That should put you in the class with the LS1.
It got my stang deep into the 13's.....
I gained nearly 40 rwhp with it...
Went from 14.1 to a consistent 13.4 @nearly 104 mph on street tires....pretty good for a 2 valve gt...I'm sure some people on here will dispute my claim, but every car will respond differently. Just a thought.
