I have a completely stock 05 Mustang V6 and heard that gears would be a good buy. I just wasnt sure which gears would be better, the 3.73's or the 4.10's? And what is really the difference between each one? If I plan on adding exhaust and headers, would it lean me more towards one gear than the other? And would a T-lok differential be reccomended? And how much would the gear, the t-lok and installation for these run me?

if you go with either of these you will definitely need some sort of rear end locker. you'll put more power to the ground and a single pull rear will have a lot of wheel spin if hitting it hard.
i love 3.73s they give you plenty of performance and go down the highway pretty good. the 4.10s are better now that we have overdrive, but they may have a whine that irritates you.

Alright so the 3.73's with the T-lok differential. Does the t-lok make both wheels spin instead of just one wheel spinning? How much different was driving with the 3.73's on your car?

Keep in mind, the 4.10's will feel as if have more HP, since they make acceleration quicker.

The 3.73's are better on gas, though I'm not sure if you'd actually be able to tell the difference.

I don't have the V6, but I just put 4.10s in my GT this week. FWIW, while cruising down the interstate, with the cruise control set at 75mph, I get about 23-24 mpg. Not bad for the V8 and 4.10s. I suspect you would do even better with the V6.

It turns about 2600rpm at 75mph. I'm not sure about before, but it was around 2100-2200rpms at 75mph. Read this post for more info: http://www.mustangforums.com/fb.asp?m=600785
