Sounds like someone wants trouble, again! Imports suck. Just a total waste of money if you're investing for speed. How much simpler can it get? Imports just don't have the power!

Averages:

Avg. 1/4 mile of 2 cars above=13.15

1320ft / 13.15s =100.38ft/s

Avg OA length of 2 cars above=178.85" or 14.90ft

13.4s(NSX)-12.9s(Cobra)=.5s

1/2 second seperation=50.19ft (when the cobra trips the lights)

50.19ft/14.9ft=3.54 car lengths at first trip.

3 1/2 car lengths....the NSX cannot keep up.

Like the nic says...on to victory.

Most f**ked up thing happened at Edgewater last night when I ran (s**tty 16.1, clutch was slipping) against a mid 80ish 5.0. Kid pulled out a helmet, I thought I was going to be eaten alive. Winds up he ran a 21.3. Talked to him later, had him pop the hood (real 302).

It was an automatic, but something had to have been up. I was getting raped by 2~3 seconds my most the small blocks that night.

No, didn't even squeel on take off.

The first race of the night...bored out 302 against me. He ran a 14 with problems going into 4th (I heard clunk clunk from his car with my windows UP).....had him for a while since he spun like no other.

Hell, he pulled up and I asked "may I have the pleasure of seeing what I'm going to be eaten alive by?"

I knew I was going to loose. We were just having fun. Wound up bulls**tting a full hour away as our cars cooled.

I know this thread simmered down and Acuraman ran away... But I wanted to say that NSX's have to be the most overpriced car out there.  80,000 for what?  A car that doesn't even dip into the 12s?

I think that they may be trying to justify the cost by the way the car handles and brakes.  Who knows, but yeah it's dumb, and we're lucky we don't drool over them so we don't have to pay that much :)

well even though i missed most of the flame war again the "evil" imports....i will say this if your comparing anything to imports DO NOT i repeat DO NOT only compare them to hondas there are some ok hondas out there my opinion is that hondas are over priced pieces, but there are otehr import companies out there such as toyota.....and if you look at a stock TT MKIV supra it would probly give most stangs a run for thair money....and if you were to take any stang engin and mod it with the same ammount of money as a 2JZ the 2JZ would smoke the stang....you can run over 1000hp on the stock block....so dont mock all imports if your only thinking of honda's.....cause one day you might come up against an 10 second supra that will leave you sitting in the dust.....

LOL

Damn, you know nothing about the EcoTec.

The EcoTec is actually a Saab block (which is owned by GM), was tested by saturn every year the L series had the 2.2L inline 4. It was unbadged, and Saturn got to find out if it had any quarks in it.

The motor wound up being so good it became the standard 4 banger in GM.

It is NOT of Japanese origin (I bet you're one of the bafoons who think Saturn was originally Japanese too, don't you?)

Want a pump gas car with that kind of power? Put boost into an American Big Block. You'll have plenty more, be faster, have a much better sound, and still have cash left over.
