I was planning on getting Dual Magnaflow cat-back exhaust but didn't really want to cut the bumper or get a GT bumper. I was wondering how much more HP I would get if I ran dual's compared to if I just got a muffler and single exhaust. I could get the dual's and just dump them before exiting the rear bumper, but didnt know how it would look or sound. Need opinions on this decision, thanks.
I am planning on getting the Dual Magnaflow Cat-backs as well. I am not even considering a single exhaust, my only question is whether to cut the bumper, get the GT bumper, or some after market one such as Street Scene (though I think it may be a bit ricey).

be carefull the dual exhaust doenst burn the bumper if it is too close...im saving any mods till after the car is paid off...rahter pay it off then spend money on that sorta stuff

I was thinking about the same thing, I am wondering if it would look bad if I was to dump the dual's rather then having them exit. I just dont know if it would look bad with the notch on the right for the exhaust. I really didnt want to spend the extra money on a new bumper, I guess I will have to see how much notching it out would cost, or see what it would look like if I was to dump the exhaust.
it took about 2 minuts to notch my bumper, it's really thin on the left side. i made a cardboard template of the right side, carried it to the left side and flipped it to mirror the right side. used a marker to trace then very carefully used a hacksaw to cut it out. even a ragged cut won't show due to the extreme angle of the lower part of the bumper and the exhaust tip (i used Lincoln) will hide most of it anyway.
Yes, what huffhuff said. It's quite easy to cut the fascia. I used a dremel with a router bit. Made a template using tracing paper, copied it from the right to the left. Zipped through it in seconds. Hit it with some sandpaper to debur it and it looks like it came that way.

The stock 2-1/2" exhaust is fine for the V6. You will gain no HP with duals. It's really an aesthetic issue rather than performance.
It sure sounds a lot better with the duals. I had my bumper cut on both sides due to the larger tips I selected. The sound alone was worth the investment for me, not to mention it "balances" the rear view of the car.
