any one know if you can add a Sub to the stock Shaker 500? What is all involved? Are there pre-outs in the deck?

I posted something about this in the audio section. It's really easy to do. Buy a line output converter. Go into your trunk and find the positive and negative wires running to each of the rear speakers. Splice a wire into those and run it to the LOC. It has 4 wires on it, two - and +, one for each side. The positive on your speakers should be the brightest color wire (but don't hold me to this. Ford is known to do some crazy **** and I wouldn't put it past them to mess this up too). Your RCAs will plug into the LOC. It probably took me 30 minutes total to install this. I don't know the voltage on the signal coming from it, but my system knocks pretty hard. I have a Rockford Fosgate Power 1500W pushing a Kicker 12" L5. When you get the sub and amp in you can cut all that ****ty sounding bass out of your other speakers from the head unit and it sounds really crisp and clear. People can't believe I have stock head unit and components.

who makes a good LOC?

will that need its own 12v power lead?

and also how are you wiring in the AMPS turn on wire? Deck, fuse box?

Tsunami makes my LOC. There are a few other brands but I can't remember their names. Mine is good though. Circuit City carries them I believe so you can probably grab one there. It doesn't need a power lead. I ran the remote wire to the fuse box on the passenger side on the kick panel. I'm sure you're familiar with it's location. There are a few fuses in there that have switch power. Just get a test light and play around until you find one if you don't know where one is already. I would go look at mine but my car is in the shop for a few weeks due to the transmission going out for the 2nd time. I'm sure you could pull the head unit for the remote wire but it's a lot more work I'm sure.
