I have a 2003 v6 auto mustang. I want to drop a V8 in there. I have heard that if I get a V8 im gonna have to change the suspension is that true? I have also heard that the V6 AND V8 are the same car except for the engine size and special features

Thats not true.Your car has an AODE auto right?It will bolt up to the 5.0.And your suspension will more than hold a v8 with no problems.And the rear end will hold as well.As long as you dont run slicks on a highly modded motor.But yes you can swap a v8 into it with minmal parts being changed.
The easiest route is to go carbed.But if you are interested in a EFI swap get a donor car its your only way to ensure you have all the little extras that kill you in the end.

why don't u just trade it in and get a older, newer body style V-8 stang? '03 v-6 you could get what...$12K for? (not sure) but with that u could easily get a 99-00 GT for that price, give or take a little...just my $.02

what the matter with wanting to upgrade your existing car? I plan on dropping a S/Ced DOHC in there whenever I can put together $15k or so for all the parts... I'll even help ya'll who like dem priceless commercials:
- 2002 V6 stang..... $12k
- cobra crate engine..... $10k
- misc parts to get the dang thing in there..... $5-6k
- having the satisfaction of doing it yourself and tearing up anyone in what looks like a V6..... priceless
oh yeah... and look at the price of a cobra... and then look at my price list... (if you're a gear head like me... your labor is well worth the $$$$$$$ you save)
