==The switch that came with my kit was a stock mustang gt light switch that includes the fog light switch.==
No kidding? That switch is like 70 bucks by itself!! That must explain why he raised the price from 350 to 400 bucks recently. Thanks for the info!
==havent i seen a stars and strip unit that screws on?==
Possibly the fox body version. The '05 version has pins with compression fittings. Since the pins are part of the plastic emblem, it is VERY difficult to remove the fittings without breaking off the pins. Plus it's not a very secure mounting method unless you're mounting it in the factory grille, because it fits right into the recess and doesn't move around. It would very likely rattle and move around on any of the aftermarket grilles.

OK, I just looked at the auction again and I think you are mistaken. If the picture below is the switch you got, it is NOT a GT light switch. That is a V6 switch that has been modified with an aftermarket rocker switch. This is what he says comes with the kit. The factory GT fog switch is integrated with the light switch. Twist the switch to turn on the headlights, pull it out to turn on the fogs.
ORIGINAL: Tres WrightI'm sure there's nothing to worry about, he has nothing but positive feedback on eBay. Don't get alarmed just yet, he may be out of town or something.
You were right..he is out of town. Lady who called me back said they would ship my order out "priority" on Monday so I should have it by Wednesday.
*sigh* Patience is a virtue and I've never been all that virtous. ;)
You're right, sorry about that. When I bought mine, I saw pictures of the switch he used to sell which is a switch that you have to mount to the dash. It had a bright blue light on it. Still, the switch he sells now is much better than the old one. I will take a picture of the grill today. Though it ticks me off, the valet parking attendant at my building scraped the front bumper last week. I was pissed! Only had the car a month and they already screw it up. Luckily they are covering the damange. My friend works at a body shop so I'm proably going to take it to him to get a discount, then use the difference to have him install a duck tail spoiler on my ride. The spoiler it comes with now is ok, but I like the retro look better.

LOL! I'm the same way, once I decide to buy something I don't want to wait for it! I want it NOW!
==the valet parking attendant at my building scraped the front bumper last week.==
ARGH! Do you work at one of those valet-parking-only buildings? Sorry to hear that, but I can relate. I have a parking block in my garage at home and accidentally bumped it one day. I pulled the stang in and put the door down. Hours later my wife came home and said the door was stuck on the car! Moving the parking bumper put the car in just the wrong spot, the door scraped down the rear bumper until a bolt got wedged on it. Made a nice gouge and several scratches on the bumper.
==I posted a message with a diagram attached showing how I cut out the facia.==
Ah, that's interesting. That might be a better approach than making the relief cuts as the bumper integrity behind the grille is still maintained.
ok i want to buy one of these kits really bad but im a little confused about where to buy from.what is the best source to buy this kit from.is it west coast performance, is it this charlie that im hearing about, or is he involved with west coast? on e bay i found this one
where did everyone get theres, what is the most recommended? i can't find the west coast kit on e bay anymore as well, so is the one above the only option left
Guys...I bought this kit from Ebay and it worked perfect...it came with very good instructions as well as with contact info & phone # if any ???'s...it also gives 3 options on switches you can get...check it out!
I bought a gt grille and a switch just like charlie has installed in his kit at a local hardware store. I swapped out my grille before charlie started selling these kits. i have seen his kit it is very nice if you want a quick and painless install. It comes with eveything you need plus directions, he even sends you some liquid soap to help lubricate the plastic to install the grille. The wiring harness is already cut to size to route around the back of the firewall and connect straight to the battery. But if any one is looking for a GT grille i have an extra one i am looking to sell. To install it you would need to buy a switch and the connectors to the factory lights, other than that you need to run some wire to the battery and the lights. Please email me at xtreme5070@aol.com if your interested in the grille.
I thought west coast performance was going out of Business and were ripping people off, takingmoney but never sending the goods???? or did I get this one confused with someone else
