probably could do w/ 31 spines. if i had the slightest opportunity to own one of these bad boys i would. NOTHING makes hp as easily. I do like the looks of the newer f-bodies a little better but damn that cobra (SCHWING!). I however can't see dumping my (beloved) 05 for one. I'll know i'll spend more in the end getting there but i WILL have 600 all-day rwhp.

I coudn't be happier with my 04 Comp Orange Cobra. The engine is outstanding, the Body is dead sexy(female car) and the interior is so awesome. I cant believe they went to the 05, lol. A 04 Cobra with low miles for around 25,000 or a new 05 for more with less power...no brainer there. What other car can you put less than 2 grand into a get 500rwtq?! Best car I have ever bought and will keep it forever Look at the postitive aspects of owning a Stang though. All the mustang clubs..cheap parts, easier to modify, GREAT PEOPLE!-Shane
Bad Things: Too fast to drive the hell out of on street before you are looking at jail time
Few people to race on the street, cause of what you are driving
once you learn how to drive it you will never be satisfied with any thing less
Preium gas is a must, and my average 20mpg is not as good as GM #s for mpg
There are too many mods available for this car, I'm going broke
But may I add with proper (my case Firestone wide oval 2875/40) tire change must wheel hop will almost disapear
also I like IRS, cause with my K/Brown suspension mods it is really sticky, rides good, I not a drag strip king so off the tree is rare for me......plus your car is getting on in the years so value is realy going to drop

I have been following mustangs for quite awhile, of all of them the Cobra the 03-04 Terminator is with out a doubt one of the best ever! I am actually on the hunt for one and the anticipation of getting it is gut wrenching! I have a few friends that own them and haven't heard anything seriously bad yet.

The Cobra IRS in 03/04 is a 31 spline unit.
Very nice riding car.. all you have to do is make sure you have the proper cooling modifications on them, and don't abuse the car horribly and you'll be fine.
THey make power very easy.. and I consistantly have people come right over when I pull up at a car show - whether it's mustangs, gm's, dodge's, imports or all of the above.
Only bad thing is that it sooo addictive to hear the blower whine..........................well if thats a bad thing. Bad ass cars that blow the doors off the WS.6. The 03-04 motors are built and can handle alot of power. Love my 03.....

I have owned my Cobra for a month, its bone stock but still pretty fast! I bought a 00 WS6 new and I loved it, but the Cobra would rip its doors off straight up! I modded the heck out of my WS6 over the years, and my stock Cobra would still hang with it. I had it SLP lid, cold air intake, mass air, longtubes, full off road exhuast, tuned by T.Scott of Cincinnatti, 410"s, full suspension work, the list keeps going, my point is the 03-04 Cobra's are the sh$t. My T.A didn't respond to the high dollars aftermarket parts like I thought it would. Then I sold it and bought a 92 Foxbody (Had a Fox back in the day and missed it) The bad, well there really isn't too much just the clunking in the driveline which is normal, head problems, wheel hop like a mofo, The fact that you are doing 100 mph in no time is a problem for the street. My advice would be, buy a bone stock one with low miles, do alot of research on the best aftermaket parts and build a beast. Good luck!
