rr is not considered the drive wheel, both rears are. if it takes less traction to break the LR for some reason the LR will spin and not the RR. And if you get it off at the right time and wet out and right conditions you can get both to spin, I was sucessful with my rental last week with that. What I couldnt do on 2-3 different surfaces with the V6 Vert was brake torque. Didnt seem to be enough power to break it loose. I feel exactly what onefastv6 was saying. Needs more RPM'S! I did have a few nice ones going around a corner tho. Gotta love the one wheel peels!
Here is the quote from the Ford site on the V6 differental:
Ford Racing T-Lok Differential for 2005 Mustang V6
Most V6 Mustangs with the 7.5 inch rear end never came stock with a T-lok (limited slip differential) which allows both wheels to have power to the ground. Usually only one wheel, the right-rear wheel has the power.

So your saying the car is only powered by one wheel all the time? I cant argue this, but still at a disbelieve. Will need more others input. I was always and still am under the impression both wheels have the power until one breaks traction.
Edit - I just love ur car! I think its the 2nd time ive said, lol. But always think that when I see it.

okay...last night i was in the car with my 11 year old son in an open parking lot trying to do some burnouts and couldnt get them spinning (my son knows more than i do about the 05) and i let him drive around the lot and punch the gas to the floor a couple times and i told him to come to a stop and try a burnout and sure enough he lights them up his first try (can you beleive it my 11 year old doing it his first try (succesfully) ( i had allready tried maybe ten times with no luck) and he lights em up (he made smoke and a roostertail and everything) can you beleive it? i still cant do one! and bye the way he drove back to look at the tread marks and smell and their was only one tire that spun

We all know only one tire Spins when u break tracktion. and hopefully know that both wheels are powering the when your driving around.
But OMFG what are you doing letting an 11 year old drive!
My pops did for me but I sat on his lap and just steered, wasnt until 13 and in the middle of the country did he let me get behind the wheel on my own in his 78 Full size blazer.

Just hide the extra keys for it. He may turn out like me and drive the car around while dads at work. In Junior High. I use to drive around the block or 2, and practice holding the car in place on the hill in our driveway with stick. I was a pro by the time I was 16, lol
