I noticed a lot better throttle response in my 6

i think its your imagination.. if anything you lost 1-2 lb-ft of torque, and gained 1-2 hp ... trust me :)

I agree you might have grain 1-3.5 hp....you would need to track test to even see it...
believe it or not just by putting in a new motorcraft will out flow a kn for the first 500-1000 miles

you know a stock air filter...*L*..
I use a moroso cold air I swear buy it
remember those cold air kits are alum or sheet metal they hold heat plastic doesn't

I didnt say i could notice more power it just felt like it picked up quicker, instead of haveing that lag between when you press the pedal and when the car starts accelerating.

The comericals claim there they flow the mose air but i think there better stuff out there

They do flow more air over a paper element.

But there are companies that make cheaper filters that flow more air. Do a search on it, Hot Rod mag did one and K&N didn't place in the top 5 if I remember correctly.

i have a k&n air filter on a pvc pipe that goes into the fenderwall as does the mac cai or whatever will this make any difference then the aluminum metal cai?

it will help you and it is not that hard to remove or reinstall if you wanted to.  try it and if you dont like it the just put it back.
