Default Difference in HP gains?

I've asked a question sort of like this before, but not in this structure. I still haven't ordered my exhaust cause I am too indecisive. Which one, how much hp? I know set up 2 is cheaper..... that's always good. Its not much though.</P>

1) BBK Long Tubes, BBK Short H-Pipe, Flowmasters(there already), 2 1/2" out the back(no dumps, it's an LX)</P>

2)BBK Shorties UNEQ, BBK X-Pipe, Flowmasters, 2 1/2" out the back.</P>

Is there gonna be a BIG HP difference in the LT's? Will it be worth the hassle to install. Lift the motor, busted knuckles...... HELP!</P><edited><editID>karma279</editID><editDate>37969.4166666667</editDate></edited>

Default Difference in HP gains?

setup 1 all the way. first of all, h-pipes flow better than x-pipes (proven by dyno results) and longtubes also flow a good bit better (20 hp i think). i would go o/r, but im not sure what you want. that was the setup i wanted, but then i looked into MAC. MACs flow a little better and sound a little more aggresive. i would get their longtubes and h-pipe too and then get the longtubes chromed. the BBKs are known to look really crappy after 1k miles. if you go to the right company (cant help you there) you can get a lifetime warranty on the coating. for the price of the BBKs you can get the MACs w/the coatingand atadmore, but its worth it. or, you can wait for the coating until you have the money.

just looked, the BBK longtubees are about 400-500 (depending on year and coating) and the MACs are low to high 200s! their h pipes are 50 bucks cheaper too.

Nah... the BBK LT's are $239.00 and the matching short H-Pipe is $119.00 through Summit. I can't get the MAC through Summit, and I will be ordering there since I have an open credit limit with Summit. Where did you see the BBK's for that much? That's outrageous!

saw that at either California Mustangs or Mustangs Unlimited, don't remember. thanks for the correction! what coating was on the ones for 239? i would still go with the MACs, just my opinion.

Just chrome.... but still, that's pretty cheap. I've heard to go with MAC but Summit doesn't sell them. Hard to go somewhere else with an open credit limit with Summit.</P>

Ya summit is where I bought my Super competition headers, Road demon carb, and G-tech. A really nice place to buy things. Open 24 hours and always happy to help you out.
