Hey, I have an 86 Gt convertible and i want to get a bbk cold air kit but i dont know which one to buy because i dont know if i have mass air and even if i do i dont know how to hook it up.Im geussing it has mass air because it has alot of modifications like bbk headers, new heads, and flowmasters but i want to make sure and i dont know how to check.I just bought this car and i dont know much about it.

probably not having it since it didnt come into effect till 89. some 88cali edition models had it.

look at your airtube if there is something in the tube that makes it seperate. than you have one [to use Laymen' terms].

a mass air meter will be approx 6inches out of the air box and will have an electrical plug attached to it, if you already have a k&n and the tube doesn't have a flat like electrical hookup, your car is probably not mass air equiped.

Thank You, I looked and i dont not see and electrical cord and there is nothing on the tube with the filter so i geuss i dont have it.

vfast, is that urs?? damn itlooks good. a CIA isn't hard to install. is that wat u ment by "even if i do i dont know how to hook it up"? bbk will have good instructions on the install. pretty sure they are a good company. <IMG src=smileys/smiley16.gif border="0">
