I think that many of you have seen the other posts regarding the fog lamps upgrade on the V6.
I bought the kit that they sell on ebay and i was wondering if somebody from this forum has done the same thing. If so and if you live near the San Francisco/ San Jose area please reply to this post and if you were able to install the fog lamps kit on your V6 Mustang.
Thanks

I managed to get the grille and lights installed but it was a chore. Every time I'd get the grille in, one side would pop back out. I had it in and out so many times, one of the tabs on the grille started tearing. I gave up on it until the next day. I then took the whole front facia off thinking it would flex more and make it easier to install the grille. It was easier to work with but same problem. What I finally did was to cut notcher in the facia at both lower corners. I cut the side and bottom on each side which allowed the grille to actually stick out past the facia (it's all totally hidden) in the rear which releived the stress and no more popping out. I e-mailed the guy I bought the kit from to tell of my trouble. He apologized but told me that he had them go easy and hard both. He thought possibly tolerances in the manufacturing process. If this helps, let me know. I don't know if I can send some kind of diagram or not but will try to help. Jim

So i had the same problem. I was fine on one side but i couldn't get the left side in place.
I bought the Kit directly from the guy. I'm even thinking on going to his shop so he can install it for me. The thing is, He's 5 hrs. driving away from me!
If you have a diagram please send it.. it might help me. Right now i just don't have either grill on my mustang and it looks terrible..
Thanks for replying to my post.

ps. you can send the diagram to
liranrock@hotmail.com or here in the forum.
thanks.

Try contacting the people you bought if from. The one I'm thinking of has a shop in LA.

Hey Liranrock, I'm still working on getting you a diagram of some sort on what I did. I'm pretty much computer stupid so my wife has to do all that technical stuff. I will try to get something to you tomorrow. Jim

When you put the GT grille, remove the clips from the bottom. Trust me, you don't need them. The two clips on the right and left will hold it in fine. Get some dish soap and lube up both the right and left side. Put the top left clip in first, then push in the bottom left clip, then repeat on the right side. Make sure you undo the top bolds on the bumper to the left and right side of your grille. I did the grille swap in 70 minutes.

I bought the west coast performance parts kit, very good kit.
