The temperature gauge of my '66 Coupe doesn't seem to work anymore so i was thinking the sending unit might be broken.
1 ) Can anybody tell me where to find it ?
2 ) How long should it take before seeing any change in temperature
3 ) Is there any way to measure if it's actually working ?
Thx in advance

1. If V8, should be in intake manifold, between distributor and carburator.
2. About 2-3 minutes.
3. Remove wire from sending unit, and while key is at ACC, briefly ground the wire to the block. The gauge should peg high.
One of the reasons I love my 73 Mach is that it's so much easier to work on compared to the newer cars.
The only electronics ia maybe a Pertronix upgrade. Things are a lot easier to diagnose. Don't have all the EFI along with the associated electronics and sensors. Oh well, didn't mean to climb up on a soap box here!
I totally agree....these old cars are not only easy to diagnose, they are easy to fix. And, a lot of fun doing it. I would not even start to work on my 03 Mach1. I can't afford the diagnostic equipment, nor would I know how to use it if I had it.
