This is my first post. How did you handle the issue of the tabs on the bottom of the GT grill not lining up with the tabs on the V6 bumper. I have a GT grill, I have not bought the lights or anything else yet, I am waiting until I figure out the mounting issues.
from what I have heard you cut them OFF and use two sided tape under the grille also i think you have to remove your bumper and shave some of the inter bumper pad away so the V6 bumper will move enough to get the GT into it. do not cut the side tabs.
OK, update. It aint going to work as i planned for a couple reasons:
1) The gt foglight bucket walls are convex, not a straight cylinder, so making them line up flush and actually look decent in the V6 grill, is going to take forever sanding and filing to get it flush enough to make injected moldings made that look professional, and don't have the gaps between the holes and the buckets. 3 v6 grills later, and i give up, Im sure someone else with about 20+ hours of fine fitting and filing&sanding could do, it's just getting it to flush fit with that convex bucket that's killin me.
2) none of the plastics places I talked to would dupe the items as they are Ford's stuff all in all.
SO, I have a bunch of v8 grills, and destroyed v6 grills. If I can figure a way to amke the V8 ones fit right with minimal modding needed to the nose of the V6, I will post a FAQ about it here and on my site. Im going to try and figure out how to use the GT switch, and even using ford OEM parts for the whole kit, should be under $349.
I was fitting the GT grill just for a little bit today, and I bet with a minimal amount of modding, and some christmas trees it could be attached to the v6 and only a pro could tell the difference.

The V8 stuff fits OK with a little bit of work. Once I figure out how to wire in a relay to the GT switch, I'll post a FAQ on how to do it all, should be able to get it all with the OEM stuff pretty cheap.
The diagram is a bit confusing....On the relay, both 86 and 87 just go to battery power?? #30 hase live juice going hot to the violet orange, then continues to the positive for the lights? I'm confused, it just looks like you are sending juice OUT of 30 & 85...... is that correct?
nook i am sorry aparently i goofed when i pasted the relay i fixed it and here is the way to wire it
86 = positive side of relay coil 30 = positive side of relay but dead till energized. hook this to fuse box or battery and use 20 amp fuse 85 = trigger for relay coil ( using ground from switch) orange / lite green 87 = output to fog lights (also to gt switch so that the led on switch lights when on) viloet / orange fog light need to be grounded to the body or block not the switch ! The reason you tie 85 and 87 together is because they are both hot all the time. the reason you tie 30 to the fogs and the violet/orange is so that when the lights are on the led on the switch lights up.
I hope this helps. Tom

CRAP !!!!!!!!! Friging dealer got me two LEFT lights instead of oen left and one right, and of course the parts department is closed until Tuesday !!!!!!!! CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I found another dealer with the correct light, got the light part installed. A little tight, but if you just cut a couple little 1.5" cuts in the bottom corners of the back of the bumper vinyl, it lets the sides sperad just right and the side tabs click right in. Take the bottom tabs off the V8 grill, I used a couple little holes in the front visible part of the lower edge of the v8 grill, through the bumper vinyl, and use a couple smooth topped christmas trees to hold the bottom down. You wouldn't even notice the smooth tops of the christmas trees if you were'nt looking for them, and even if you do see them they are insignifigant in appearance. It's super hot out today, I will take a crack at the witing tomorrow when it is cooler!
can you repost the drawing for the lights? i think this will be my next mod.
I'll have a DIY with clear images and wiring directions once im done, I couldnt have done it without the help here thats for sure. I would have just used a tacky radio shack switch direct to the lights had I not received this help! N
