I need your input as to which will be better for the V6 at this point. What get's you more bang for your buck?

I have read some folks love the XCalibur Tuner with the Steeda tune. And some GT folks love the predator...but that's for the GT crowd. I'm wanting to know what you think from a V6 prospective.

If you got a Xcal...why didn't you get the predator and vise versa.

I'm sure the Predator will be out for our 4.0L's soon... until then, then SCT... or... the new SCT X-calibrator 2! There are a lot of great dealers out there doing excellent custom tunes besides Steeda.
Just 2 off the top of my head...

anyone else want to chime in with your favorite SCT programmer?

Just read an article in one of the Mustang magazines that basically says if you want to mod out your '05 Mustang don't get a V6. I wonder if this guy is picturing little old ladies driving around in the 6 bangers?

As you have heard the X-cal on a V6 is really great. We have them on several cars (some who surf this site) and they really love them. We have a couple customers that couldnt decide if they wanted the steeda cai or not so we programmed there X-cal for the stock air box and also loaded a program for the steeda. That way if they buy it later they are ready to go. We have one customers Mac V6 air intake car in test right now. Mac claims "no check engine light" as expected it was getting a light. Hopefully by the end of this week or next that test will be finished and we can mail order for the Mac air intake also. The Steeda V6 air intake is all finished though as you might have already heard from the forums.

Brent, I have the MMR setup on my V6 and duals. I have had no issues with the check engine light since day one. If I go with your XCal on my V6, will it take full advantage of the mods I have added or would I need it to be tweaked? This is the last mod I plan to add and want to make sure I get my moneys worth. Any advice you could add will be appreciated.

What is that guy talking about? Mabey the relative lack of aftermarket go-fast parts for the V6 right now? But with standard bolt on mods the V6 should be eating up those V6 accords, Tiburons, Civics, Eclipses, Cobalt SS's and on and on. With a blower or some juice alot of GT's, and other smaller V8 cars better watch out too. IMO gears are the key to whooping higher hp cars.

Yes I can work with your on your program. That is good you have not had a light because I know of others that have. I can work with you on your program to get the most out of your car. Give me a call if you want to discuss and I can tell you what I have planned 574.834.7455 or e-mail sales@brenspeed.com
