My wife got a V6 Mineral grey. By reading the posts I think there are some knowelable people here. I just got 17" Bullitt wheels put on today and have a set of Steeda springs coming next week. How hard is it to add a cold air intake? Which one do you recomend. I would also like to upgrade the exhaust.
Congrats on your new car. I also have a mineral grey V6....I LOVE IT. As far as the exaust. I've looked at em all. I really don't want to put duel exaust on it. I'm sticking with the single axel back exaust. After listining to sound clips from Magnaflow, JBA, MAC and the GT take off. I think for the money the GT muffler is the way to go...for me at least. The others range fron $170 to $250 the GT muffler (to me) has a better sound and you can get a brand new one taken off a GT for $30 +$25 shipping or you can get them both if you want to run duel exaust for $45 +$39 shipping. Alot of people are really pleased w/ the results. Mine should be here tomorrow, I'll let you know how it turns out.
I'm iffy on the CAI right now from what I have read you don't get the full effect w/o a computer re-tune and I don't want to take any chance on voiding the warranty with only 1,000 miles on the car. I just added the K&N replacement filter for now.
I have the MMR intake and high flow tube on my V6. It was a breeze to install, no issues with the check engine light and it does make a difference. I plan to add a tune later this summer once a few more folks have a chance to perfect the process. So much attention has been placed on the GT's you will only find one mod for the V6 for every ten you find fo the V8. I have had great luck buying parts for my V6 from Don at V6Mustang.com whose address I have posted below. Congratulations on your new Mustang.
