Does anyone know if this will also play wma files? Or is it MP3 only?

My understanding is MP3 not WMA

If you've got a PC with Windows XP, you should be able to download Media Player 10.0. This will convert .wma to .mp3.

where is this option? I know WM will convert CD's to MP3's but I've never seen the option to convert .wma files to .mp3's. I've looked all over WM and on the web and not seen this. Are you sure? This would be great if true because it's a pain to burn to cd and then back to mp3 :)

there is a program i use to convery wma to mp3's its very easy..i cnat remember what it is called...just search on google for "wma to mp3 converters"

well - I grabbed one and thought I was all set but when I went to convert it told me it couldn't because the files were protected. These are music files purchased online. The whole thing is very stupid - because to get aroudn the licensing all I have to do is burn the song to cd and then rip it back to MP3 and the license problem is gone. They just make it a pain to do. Right now all my songs are wma - I want to get my whole library into my Shaker500
