Air Injection?

I'm getting ready to purchase long tube headers since I'm going to redo my exhaust. But for the headers you have to choose if you want air injection or not. How do I determine if I need it or have it? Is this like air injection they have for some cats to help produce less toxic gases?

alright man, i have a 98 and ran into the same problem. and after askin thousands of forums and only gettin few replies i found out the air injection had to do with the "egr" which is like a thing that has 2 do with the air pollution. i still havent purchased the headers. but after all the replies i recieved thats what i came up with. best of luck, and let me know what u get

im assuming air injection is for people trying to stay emissions legal and i still wouldnt count on that working...so who knows?
