well, all this talk about the gt500 is really getting me excited and depressed. i just bought a 2005 gt a few months ago but now this is coming out and i want it so bad!!! it's just never enough!! i live in oklahoma and dont know of any dealerships really close by that have svt capabilities. sure i can look them up on the ford site...but i was just wondering if anyone really knows the true price. ive seen some post that it's around $40k plus maybe add $5k to that(???) but then i saw another that said they heard it was gonna be under $39k, so i dont know!!! if you guys have any official articles with pricing details i'd greatly appreciate it. thanks.

There gonna be over 50 thats for sure and you cant order one till there building them. All these dealers that are taking money are just taking it and holding on to it.If you dont get a vin when you put money down there just taking your money!
well i finally just called the ford dealership in tulsa (OK) and they acted like me wanting to put down a deposit was a joke...so I decided to call the ford dealership in norman (near okc) and they said they will start taking orders/deposits in about 5 weeks so i gave him my name and number. BUT he told me that they were the 2006 models and they werent an 07 and i assured him everything i had seen said 07 but that they'd be coming out summer of 06...so i dont know what that was all about...but now i have my 2005 mustang GT that i guess im going to decide whether or not to put up for sale...anyone interested???

I'm sure it won't come in under $40k. Not with dealer markup on these things. Just look at how much they're marking up the GT's... I can't even imagine what they'll charge for the cobra.

Alrighty then. $40,000 it is...and we need to hold 'em to it! "C"
Cmon folks, you really think this car will come in under or at 40k? Back in '2002 all the way thru 2004 a 2003 Cobra was priced at 36K. So now, several years later, a limited production car comes out with more balls and new body style and it's only gonna go up 4k? I don't think so. Folks, plan to spend 41-45K to get your hands on one of these, and I really think it will be above 45k,just that 50k from Ford just doesn't sound right for a stang....

Hey Cal, do think Steve's right? Any of you Ford dealers heard anything lately or received ANY news? "C"
Looks like it will be about 39k, I don't think the mark ups will be that much, due to the fact that Ford is now stripping the heck out of the show car for production, smaller wheels, no twin screw S/C, smaller brakes, no IRS and who knows what they will strip out next. There are a few people that wanted it because of the twin screw S/C, and now they probably won't buy it. I heard somewhere that HTT is going to make 13k cars this year, so it's not gonna be a limited production run, hell they might make more, mostly you'll see a lot of people buying, hoping they will go up in value like the 60's Shelby's, but thats not gonna happen, because if Ford is smart, they'll just keep rollin em out the door at 39k and people will keep buying them.
