I'm considering buying the V6 and I really like the spoiler but not the MUSTANG stripe below the door. Is this something than the dealer can take off or that I can take off? How might this be accomplished? Thanks!

as long as it is no more than 3 months old you can take it to a car wash and use the wand and blast it off once it starts just peel.

I pulled mine into the garage and applied a little heat with a heat gun to get it started (blow dryer will work)
and it pulled right off, very easy.

I went to two dealerships before I found my car, and they both gladly offered to take the stripe off at no extra charge. Good luck!

I have not done this...but I read all you have to do is park your car outside on a really hot day, then peel off a corner of it with your nail, once it get's started, it peels off really easily. I have also read you can use a hair dryer to warm it up, then peel it off.

took ten minutes to get mine off. let sit in sun and then lifted an edge with razor blade enough to grasp with fingers then pulled right off.
has anyone removed the black plastic rocker panel to see what it looks like underneath?. i want full body color like the GTs. if removing doesn't look right then i expect to paint mine (satin silver).

thank for all the replies. Turns out one of the ones I waiting on came in - a black V6 (I was going to go the GT route but the wife set me straight :) ) with red leather interior, interior upgrade package, traction - everything I wanted but the spoiler. Guess I'll have to get that installed. So no need to remove any stripes. Just waiting to be approved for financing - bought it late last night - and then it's mine! :) I'll post pics.

Sounds nice, can't wait to see it! IMO you might want to wait a few weeks before putting on your spoiler, I think the black 'stangs looks even more evil without them, sleeker.

I'll take your advice into consideration :) They are putting on dual exhausts for me so that's one mod already out of the way! :)

I had the dealer remove the stripes before I picked it up. I pealed off the dealer sticker on the read deck as soon as I got home. I am going for that black stealth look on my V6. I think the stripe looks good on certain colors but not the white stripes on the black paint.
