I bet this has already been adressed, but I was wondering if tuning the car will void the factory warranty? I've been told that it does by some people, but others say that as long as you revert it back to the stock settings before bringing it in for service, they weill never know or care. Anybody know the truth or have any experience?

I'm going by what I read on forum somewhere. They said that if you reinstall the factory program before you take it in and drive it 30 or 40 miles to get everything reset that they won't know. If you don't drive it enough to get things reset it will show a code. However the same thing would happen if your battery ran down. Hope this helps.

My neighbor is one of the higher ups in ford and I asked him about this recently because I was looking into it. He said the first thing ford techs are trained to do nowadays is check the computer for any discrepences in the programing. The computer logs everything you do to it so regardless of how far u drive with the factory program it still will have the tune information logged on it. Unless your tech is a retard they'll figure it out pretty quick.
