2V or 4V

First, is the carb. 2, or 4, bbl or is that determined by the engine?

Second, how do i know what I have? I assume if you look down the carb and you see two little round things, you have a 2bbl but I wanted to make sure. In the trunk of the car was the top to an air cleaner that had the 4V sticker on it, but i only see 2 "bubbles".

No, it's determined by the intake. Here is a 4V carb. If yours only has a two venturi, then it is a two barrel.

V stands for venturi or holes in your intake manifold that lead to your cylinders. You typically want as many 'barrels' in your carb as you have 'venturis' in your intake. Cam and heads are of less consequence in this respect.
