Naw man, i just like everytime i try to make a argument against ford, they always have to pull out the saleen card on me, if thats the case then i can use lingenfelter or hennessey, which both blow saleen modded mustangs out of the water completely

i agree.isnt saleen like lingenfelter.........compare saleen with lingenfelter. what r those...1000hp twin turbo vettes that u can drive everyday to work and still run low to mid 11's.

if anything we should compare camaro ss with cobras........think iam gonna stick with the one with blower:D

If your gonna compare anything to a cobra it should be the camaro z28, not SS

Hennessey makes a twin turbo viper with 1300 HP that runs 8's and is daily drivable, minus the slicks

did anyone heard about ford making false statement about hp output of 99-2000 cobras? they were rated at 320 but were putting out around 260-270hp??? i dont know if it was just us canadians with " bad" cobras.my buddy who use to work at ford says all he remembers ford spent around 5-6000$ in parts to perform the recall on them cobras.included high flow exhaust and some computer mods i believe.

and why we should compare z28 with cobra,not the ss? z28 goes with gt isnt it?

Z28 is faster then the SS.. If you take the cobra out of the mix and just compare 4 cars... the SS would be like having a GT if it was a ford, and the Z28 would be like a mach1

huh? since when?z28 were 305hp and ss were 320hp.normal trans am were 305hp and transam with ws6 and ram air package were 320hp. ss was made to compete with cobras which they did .

im not siding with ford or chevy here but cmon. joe your hilarious.btw the yenko camaro was rated at 425 hp not had 425 hp . they run mid 12's in a 1/4 with the weight of the car and all probably had closer to 500.
2nd these guys dont like you going against ford and your probably wondering y they alwyas are arguementative with you. my family has ford's chevy's etc and before have had certain cars and were never bias against another brand...so please can we have some closure hear for chevys vs fords? both are different cars the saleen and the iroc.i would not buy that iroc unless i would have seen it up close and taken a test drive in it (dont know whats goign on with it after seeing part of the spoiler missing and confusion on the amount of money in the motor) i just have to say this joe bring your dads rx8 by some of our cars :)

All i know is the world isent made up of straight roads.. all you guys care about is Point A to Point B as fast as possible.. Not Point A to Point B with the 50 tight corners and curves in between

Theres been videos all over 4 banger forums of some jackass that comes to a circuit meet in some big block classic with a blower sticking out of the hood, probobly runs single digit numbers, and gets his ass kicked by FWD econobox cars on teh circuit, its a whole different game

Like the video of the viper trying to keep up with the 4 banger and ends up loosing his brakes in a turn and goes head first into the wall ?

haha he lost his brakes im totally sure that a econobox or 4banger has never lost its brakes during a race. think about it (your constantly using them) its like that guys video of the 99-00 cobra where it shows all these cars breaking down but never shows his car...your funny

To be honest i think handling wise and powerwise corvette c6 z06 is better deal then a viper......not so sure about the ferrari..but again now we r comparing 60000$ car to 160000$+ car!!

edit:bc i dont wanna argue with you and i sometimes read your threads in forums and think alot of what you say...i was bringing roadsters/sportscars into the chevy and ford arguement :) just dont want people bashing on no fords and people on these forums bashing on no chevys
your right because my dad would really pay 75000 for a viper and 125,000 for a ferrari thats a waste of money...btw the new zo6 kicks the vipers ass :) but either way both cars are fast

yeah its funny how ever since c-5 rolled outta factory.its been on top or behind a porsche in pretty much all sports car comparisons in all the magazines.i work p/t at gm dealer(dont ask why i drive a ford ) and boy does that c-6 gets testostrone levels up:) cant wait for our first z06 c-6

doobs i have nothing against iroc or saleen. i try my best not to intervene in these type of arguments but cant stand when ppl dont like other fast cars just cuz its not a "ford or mustang" .its like some ppl say" srt's are waste of money,evo r garbage when compared to v-8" i mean its not about how v-8 sounds and how civic sounds.....it should be about "wow this dude managed to go low 11's in his 4 cyl car......lets see what he did" but instead ppl reply to these cars as follows" why in the world would u stick a turbo on a 4 cyl,why in a world would u want to go fast in 4 cyl..v-8 rules" but whatever.u can only do so much right.

hey u mentioned u think a lot about what i say in my threads..is that a good thing or bad thing?

how's your car handle btw?

edit:in respond to bc we have a c5 corvette that we love and most of our streetrods we have either are ls1s lt1s and or 350 chevys heck even our 37 ford street rod has an ls1 :)

bc its a good thing ... i knwo what your saying about putting a turbo on a 4cyl or what not and agree with joe on this one thread i forget what it was but he said something like when there is someone who makes a car fast it deserves credit no matter what it is. thats true (yes i agreed with joe)
