Default Transparent Backround?

Can someone please tell me how to just get a picture of my car alone with a transparent backround. I just got ps 9.0 and im trying to learn. I already used the lasso tool to outline my car, but what do i need to do next? Any help is greatly appreciated

go to filter, extract and then highlight the edges of your car. once you have all edges highlighted fill in the car with the paint bucket tool. then click preview and you can put parts of the pic back that are sposed to be there or get rid of parts that arent. then use the clean up tool to fix the edges. its easyyyy

The easiest way for me is.. lasso it then go up to edit and copy it. Go to file, new and pick the size you want and there is a transparent option in there that you can click on. Open up the transparent screen go up to edit and hit paste and your car will show up with no background. Hope this helps you out too..

You will also need to save the completed project as a Transparent Gif file, right? That is the way it has to be done in PSP. Since I am fed up with PhotoShop, I can't say for sure if it should be done that way, but I assume that it should.

yup! everyone heres is right, start a NEW file and make sure to click on transparent, then lasso it or use the eraser, and like 4fit said, save it as a GIF file
