i dont know much about motors. so here is my question. are you using a new block? and isnt using a seasoned block better. you know less of a chance on cracking it. but what you have going on right now..................man it is a great looking motor and im jealous lol. enjoy it and dont abuse it lol.

What he said.
It's the Ford R302, same casting as the Dart blocks. Can handle WELL over 1,000hp Though I never intend to make more than that. Best to have a very solid foundation.
you ready to run ....me ....i leave my bottle at home....my c/f bite the dust......the friction materail just came a part on the p/plate side..dam..i need a twin disc.....hows she running ob ??
Yeah, I don't think I'll ever attempt to beat Gary, but I did run it last night.
Left straight from work, got there around 8pm. First run in at 8:30 I was on my street tires, didn't have time to go in the other direction to get tires n come back. Wanted all the runs I could.
Well first run of the night on street tires, GRANNY SHIFTING because tranny is still a wee-bit notchy for the quick ****. I pull up spin the tires a little to clean em off.(Even though people were DRIVING through the water box...draggin water all the way up there with em) Feathered first gear very very much so I wouldnt spin really... Did semi well, second gear and I floored it... Bad move there, spun em and I let off a little and got back on it slowly. slowly shifted to third and then down to fourth. Netted me a 13.7@105
Don't fret though, Still much more to improve on. Landed me a 2.1 short time somehow(with all them kind people bringing the water up to the tree) 60's progressively got worse as the track cooled, and more people driving thru the box. So didn't expect much there. So the first was the best of the night because of it. Next wednesday I'll bring my ET Streets, and I'll try SHIFTING the thing. If I can't hit em I can't hit em. Like I said still a bit notchy. But I predict around 107-108 trap speeds, and w/ tires around a 12.4 If I get brave enough to launch.
at our track people ...and me drive throw the water too.....they dont like it when you go around it ,and back into it...also cant burn out past the staging beams either ..no half track burn outs ....
