Well, should probably just let this thread die. But, got the front end sort of fixed. Yanked the k-member back a little, couldnt go TOO far because it can't go any farther. The slots on the cradle itself can move back a little more, but the frame of the car wont let it. Doesnt rub AS BAD in the turns anymore. So, going to order some CC plates or try and find them used. Ordered some poly spring isolators though, should help. And the big reason I didn't let the thread die yet. Unless my car explodes tomorrow, going to run it at the track w/ slicks. Just tested my clutch by doing my car's first burnout with the new engine. So I know that's going to be fine. Left a nice smokeshow was sideways for a little while though when lettin off. But, hopefully I break my rear end so I have something else to drain my limited cashflow. Wont be using the nitrous though. And backed off on the initial timing a bit too. We never set it at the dyno because the pointer on the timing cover is just crap May have figured it out though, so backed off a few degree's and it runs smoother now. May go a few more degree's to see how it is. Edit: Also had a charging problem today(again) So went to the junkyard and nabbed an alternator off a grand marquis. So now she's running almost perfect atm.

i did some searching on that K member of yours. i think your problem is the stock A arms. i seen they sell adjustable A arms. that may be something you need to get.

They say the k-member swap shouldnt be a problem. And yeah I know i've been thinking of them damn a-arms... Pricey pieces they are... Not to mention I'm going to need the coil over kit and cc plates. It all becomes VERY pricey VERY fast.

yea i wasthinking that setup was a cheap price but its not. standard tublar A arms are like 170 but adjustable ones are 320 ish. then the coilover kit is like 170 or so but the catch is the struts are sold seperately so that kit now becomes a 900 dollar kit.

im guessing if he can drive and depending on his suspension setup. low 12s are going ot be seen. 11s could be in his future if he is aggresive

suspensions setup not so great. Car's lowered 1.5" Will be running my ET Streets though, and I do have a few suspension trinkets. Suchas SFC's and batt relocation and kyb gas-adjusts but those springs are hurtin me bad Gonna start off launching low See how she likes it. Progress as the night gets cooler Hopefully I dont hit a wall with my awesome negative camber and unaligned front end.

I'm assuming that your car weighs around 3300lbs. With that in mind i'm going to presume the best possible senario. Using the driveline loss formula for a stick car of 17% that gets you 365 crank horsepower. That should propel you according to my program around a 12.6 to 12.7 in the quarter. I'm wondering how close this program is to what you will really run. I hope you can prove it wrong. Have fun and be safe. Buy the way- do you have a driveshaft loop? Rye

i seen a 87 T top stang with no suspesnion at all and just BFGs making 265 rwhp go 13.0 with a 1.9 [driver sucks badly] but that car should be a 12.7 ish car. so with OB and his power figures he should be lower 12s in my book. 3300lbs is a heavy fox body

Weighed in last year around 3271(without driver ) Those rims aint light... Neither is my bellhousing(SFI Approved TANK!!) But since then, lightened up a few things,Tubular K-member (around 30 lbs) Aluminum Heads(around 50lbs) No backseat(some say around 50) And I'll be useing my slicks on the ass end, so theyre on some old 10 holes. My cobra r's weigh in around 50-60 lb's EACH!! Really need a lighter wheel. But here's the tradeoff the new block I got FMS r302 weighs a good amount heavier than the stock block. But it SHOULD weigh less than last year. Edit: Block weighs around 64lbs more than stock. But fergot to mention my lighter weight internals as well. Really need to get it re-weighed. quote:

But I did retard the timing a few degree's... Wondering how much it's going to affect it. If it's THAT bad, i'll bump it back up to where it was before.
